In its first year, Econopolis secured a significant number of consultancy mandates for private sector companies, representative organizations and public authorities.

Ever faithful to its own philosophy, Econopolis focuses on long-term structural cooperation with clients rather than one-off assignments. The premise for each assignment is that there must be room for “unbiased” thinking and innovative solutions. Our experience has shown that more and more clients are open to this approach.

These are a few of the assignments we are at liberty to divulge:

  • Unizo/VKW
  • Vlaamse Baaien 2100
  • Provincie West-Vlaanderen
  • Essenscia
  • Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds
  • Companies active in telecom and the audiovisual sector

Econopolis advised the Flemish Community during its negotiations with rating agencies S&P and Moody’s. Geert Noels also has a seat in the advisory board of Flemish Minister Muyters.

In co-operation with UNIZO and VKW, Econopolis presented the (controversial, notorious) stunning “Report on the Belgian Industry” in September 2010. It provided an extensive analysis on the sectors of the future and how market failures could be explained. But more important, how urgent problems need to be addressed in order to safeguard future manufacturing activity in Belgium.
